Gemma, a Martial Law Baby
Si Gemma ay ipinanganak sa huling mga taon ng Martial Law sa Pilipinas. At dahil bata pa siya noon, ang naalala lang niya ay yung may libreng bakuna at may libreng nutri-bun na binibigay sa mga estudyante sa kanyang paaralan.
Kaya nung nagkaroon siya ng pagkakataon na bisitahin ang Marcos Museum sa Ilocos Norte, dun niya nalaman ang mga mabuting ginawa ng dating pangulong Marcos na hindi isinulat sa aklat na ginagamit sa paaralan. Dahil sobrang dami ng magandang proyekto ng dating pangulong Marcos, hinalikan niya ang larawan nito bilang pasasalamat at paghanga sa kabutihang nagawa sa bayan.
Kaya ang sigaw ni Gemma ngayon ay “Marcos Na Rin!”.

[Gemma was born during the last years of Martial Law in the Philippines. And because she was so young at that time, she can only remember FREE vaccination and FREE nutri-bun given to students in her school.
So when she had the chance to visit the Marcos Museum in Ilocos Norte, she was able to know more about the good things former President Marcos did that were not written in the history textbooks in her school. And because of so many projects done by former President Marcos, Gemma kissed the photo of him to thank and admire him for the good things he did for his country.
And because of that, Gemma is now shouting, “I am for Marcos, too.”]
